Early Blaze
These apples are sweet/tart, good for eating, cider, and sauce. Available late July, early August.
Double Red
These are sweet apples, good for eating and cider. Available early September.
Stark Red
Another sweet apple, good for eating and cider. Available early September.
Golden Delicious
Golden delicious apples are sweet, good for eating, cooking, cider, and pies. Available early to mid-September.
Paragon Winesap
This is a tart apple and a good keeper. It’s good for eating, cooking, cider, and pies. Available late September.
King David
This apple is sweet/tart and are also good keepers. It’s good for eating, cooking, cider, and pies. Available mid-September.
Crimson Winesap
This apple is tart and also a good keeper. It’s good for eating, cooking, cider, and pies. Available late September to early October.
Arkansas Blacks
This is a tart/sweet apple which is an excellent keeper. It’s good for eating and cooking. Available late September to early October.
Bartlett
The Bartlett pear is a unique pear in that its skin color brightens as it ripens, unlike other varieties of pears that show little color change as they ripen. Bartletts are traditionally known as the canning pear. Available late August to early September.
Bosc
Bosc are also unique for their color: a warm cinnamon brown with russeting over the surface of the skin. They are ideal for baking, broiling or poaching. Available late September.
